Featured Charity: CEPAD USA
CEPAD USA holds a very special place in my heart. I was fortunate enough to go on a mission trip in 2018 to Nicaragua where we built water filters with the Nicaraguan people and also had a health clinic where a total of 250 patients were seen in the week we were there. The water filters we built were made for $40 US and required very little maintenance from the Nicaraguan people. Here are some pictures from that trip:
Our featured charity is CEPAD Usa.
In 1988, CEPAD asked for help distributing its English-language newsletter, the CEPAD Report. In response, a group of volunteers in the United States came together to be the production team as well as developing and expanding the mailing list, and making occasional requests for financial support.
In 1992, CEPAD USA, a 501(c)(3) corporation, was founded to help facilitate the fundraising and help the people of Nicaragua in their work for justice and peace in their violence-torn and impoverished land.
Today, CEPAD USA continues to raise fund and provide grants to support Nicaraguan non-governmental organizations working on behalf of the poor and marginalized in Nicaragua.
